Waterfalls In The Caribbean

There is probably no other place in the world where such themed waterfalls exist as beautiful as they do in the Caribbean. In the mountainous regions of the islands, cascading waterfalls can be viewed in several places, from the driest, sunniest lowlands to the wettest regions. Whether cascading from a natural water source or perhaps man-made, waterfalls can be viewed in several Caribbean counties from the north, including Jamaica, Guyana, and the northern regions of Sur Rutles. In fact, the popular Caribbean Waterfalls Trail traverses through the western side of the island of Jamaica.

On the other hand, the witchery of waterfalls can also be experienced in the northern regions of the island, most notably in the Falls Area of Casuarina. This semi-evergreen forest contains over 50 waterfalls, including the world famous artificial ones at the Nuevo Casuarina Waterfall, the falls known as the “keepers of the falls” from the Markha Valley, and the Horseshoe Falls. The Falls are located in the Casuarina National Park in the eastern part of the island, and spread over an area of 10 km.

In the south, the specialty of the Caroni National Park is the underground waterfalls, which involve a slow but steady flow of water. The main water fall in the park, the Migo Falls, is located at the 7 km mark, and puts in about 65,000 litres of water per minute. If you years ago decided to explore the stems of the Migo Falls, you would be in for a pleasant surprise as you locate the falls surrounded by vegetation lining the sides of the falls along with its water pooling below.

The well known landmark in the opening of the region still stands and can be seen landmarks the whole way through the South Atlantic. To add to the Migo Falls, the larger falls, the Maji Falls, begin at the Maji Point, a Petra like area which creates a large waterfall. This Petra like area is surrounded by small falls and can be reached at the nearby Tavewa River. As you continue along the trail, you will also come across the Sosua Falls, which are large and sturdy and form a followed by smaller ones, the Nxai Falls and the Kibale Falls.

You will also see birds of various species investing in the ecosystem of the Columbia Basin including an abundant colony of kingfishers. While you are traveling through the Petra region, you will also come across the figure of the Black Canary woman who is believed to have been leading a resistance against the English settlers some 80 years ago.

As you travel through the Connector Mountain Range, you will come across the last two from the Conata Picnic area. The Conata Picnic area is a well known picnic spot that is located at the Crossroads and Scenic Lookout Mountain. It is a scenic lookout point that offers a variety of different weather and vegetation crosses, depending on the weather conditions and vegetation conditions of the area.

Providing a variety of different and exciting views, the Conata Picnic area also has the Petra Sharks Gate, which is the top view of the attached Conata Bridge, and Conata River, which flows to the Atlantic Ocean. This viewing area is the primary reason why travelers view the Conata Bridge from the Conata Picnic area.

Other highlights include the East Ridge Falls, Cross Plains and the Goose Eye Mountain. The key trail to the tour is the access point at the top of the Ridge Falls, which is the Petraian Arch. The trail is level and mostly easy moderate to difficult hiking. This area is naturally split into three loops, the first going up to Half Dome via Knife Edge, the next loops around the edge of the Conata Fall and the third loop diving into the pool of the Beaver Creek.

While hiking through this rainforest area, look out for some of the spectacular views such as Half Dome and bolts. Also during the summer months, moss bathing areas are very active, with adults and children alike enjoying the special effects of life there. The Rainforest & Bamboo Ridge parking area is a very popular destination for those who wish to stay overnight. So if you are fit for a longer adventure and you want to explore Rainforest India, then combine your adventure with a stay at a good quality resort in the Rainforest area that will provide you with a much needed break from the daily hustle and bustle of city life. And if you happen to be visiting India at the right time, it will certainly be worth your while to stay at a good range of Rainforest resorts to combine your adventure with nature at its best.
