Summer is near and the time for sports activities is near. Wait, I am still working on it. Well, time to be more productive.
Since we have covered a lot of ground in this article, we will keep on going. Most of the ground that I referred to in this article is gone. Well at least the construction workers should be moving onto other things. I assume that the land owners are also stocking up on supplies and preparing for the winter.
I am looking forward to a good rain storm and to building some nice trails in the rain. I personally like the woods though, so I guess I will continue to camp here in the woods but with a lot more respect for the parks.
I guess the parks are doing a pretty good job of keeping the park areas clear and sprucing up the grass. I only bring my dog out to the parks these days. I do have a good time with her. Always stop to treat her to some free kennel time.
It is kind of refreshing to be out in the woods when you really don’t have to be. The dog runs around, gets splashed in the water, gets buckets of ice cream and walked on a flat area and… voila!

In World War II, campers or holiday makers were called military using recreational vehicles. Now they are called campers engaging in a wide variety of activities. Many campers are using their RVs to tour around the country. Other campers have found camping to be a great alternative to more formal lodging. Still others enjoy camping as a way to connect with nature. As people become more dependent on technology, camping is becoming more of a luxury recreational activity, but this trend is going to continue for the foreseeable future.
Camping is a very popular past time activity; probably because family and friends can bond with each other in a relaxing environment. Camping is a great way to get closer to nature and to enjoy the company of friends and family.
As camping declined during the Vietnam War, more families have turned to camping as a way to bond. Family and friends again flock to nearby campgrounds looking for relief from the war.
Today, with money in many households, more families are camping in their RVs. Families can camp out comfortably in their RVs and still enjoy home comforts.
America has one of the richest cultures in the world and camping is a great way to experience many of our natural resources. National parks and forests consist of various landscapes from mountains, deserts and canyons, to lakes and rivers. There are thousands of scenic routes within national parks. Marinas and designated campgrounds give a break from the regular camping experience and give a unique experience to campers who want to “rough it.” Marinas usually offer cable television and sometimes even Wi-Fi Internet.
There are even urban parks in cities. Certain city parks give way to wooded areas and offer a much greener look to the landscape. Many of the parks offer fitness activities like hiking, mountain biking and sports that are fun for the entire family.
Can you think of any good or bad habits of people who camp? We all have little hobbies that become big parts of our lives. People who camp are known as “glamping” or “glamour” camping. Do you know what “glamping” is? The new meaning of camping is that you stay in gondolas and stay in shelters and it is done aboard a caravan of some sort. People who have this glamorous camping lifestyle must have a lot of money to spend because they are able to take well-known luxury brands such as Lexus, Burberry and Versace along with their camping gear.
Glamping is not for everyone. There are still camping grounds where you must pitch a tent. Also, there are many portable units that can be attached to tents. These make it so easy to set up camp as well as move about. While they maybe more expensive than a tent they certainly beat camping out of the park.
