The Park
Situated in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, Kanha national park is a Tiger reserve which extends over an area of 1,945-sq-kms. The major attraction of this Park is its Topography. The Park is situated in a horseshoe shaped valley & the whole area of the park is surrounded by the spurs of the Mekal. The Surpan river travels through the park to provide a permanent source of water to its rich flora & fauna & known as the life line of the park. Kanha is also known as The sunset point because of the mesmerizing view of sunset from this spot.
Flora
Kanha is popular among the green lovers & the nature lovers for its composed habitats. Kanha has abundance of some of the rarest & most endangered species of plants in India like Tiger lilies, Wild beans, Manjale, Stinging nettle, etc. A delightful picnic spot is also located here where the fresh tea grown in the shade of the many species of flora can be enjoyed.

Kanha Castle
It is a splendid four bedroom, fully equipped castle divided in two wings. The outer wings are open to the air and as well as the internal wings. The construction of this castle is really beautifully done. It is well on the touring circuit of central India and is a great site to explore for the tourists.

Kanha National Park
1951 sq. kms. This is the home of the Neyyar family of Indian tigers. The park is very rich in its flora and fauna. Covering area of 320 sq. km, the park is consultant to some of the famous wildlife species such as the Indian Bison, Nilgiri Woodpecker, Indian Grayling, Sloth Bear, Chital, etc. Many other small animals like mouse deer, wild boar, garigai besides mangrove plants also being very common here.
