India, the seventh largest nation in the world, has something or the other for everyone. Long stretches of deserts, pristine beaches, lovely hill stations, gigantic forts and mammoth architectural wonders, ancient cultures and civilizations, ever smiling and hospitable people, wonderful religious centres, interesting wildlife… you name it and India would offer that on a platter..

So is it any surprising then that the wonder that is India finds a good place in the tourist’s heart as well as the visitor’s desire to visit the country despite its geographically challenged ambience? Despite its challenging and unfamiliar territory, India can never be pigeonholed into a certain experience and here, we are not going to find it claustrophobic.. there are just too many things to do and see to be able to pigeonholing!

If you are of the adventurous type then surely you will be caught in the edge of a thrilling roller coaster of a flight and landing in Delhi at the Chandni Chowk.. meanwhile, if you are of the more sedate and comfortable type travelling to India for leisure purposes then there is no need in anyway to worry as you can cross the Atlantic and visit Mumbai to witness the invincible New York of the 21st Century. At the junction of the East and West, Mumbai is home to some of the most exotic wildlife sanctuary and national parks in the world which you may feel drawn to visit.

Of course it is not only the aquatic which inhabits the land of Mumbai, whose dominant flora resides in the West, the Indian wildlife too occupies a significant place. Most prominent among the Indian creatures found in Mumbai are the Indian Rhinoceros, the Indian Leopard, theison, the wild boar, the Indian swamp deer, the elephant, the Indian chital, the sambhar, the Brahminy kite, the migrant manatee… which is in fact an excellent way to learn about the natural beauty of India, because the way they move, and the sheer majesty of these animals, will surely mesmerize you.

The months of May and June are best times to see forest eagles and red-legged hornbills at Ranthambore National Park. Elephants and tigers are almost always at their extravagant best at Periyar National Park and The Indian Rhino park at Bandhavgarh. But as the Periyar water enroute shows us, the Indian wildlife is certainly the dominant attraction at these two parks.

km privately constructed fascinating End of the world world as compared to the conventional tourist destinations is just one of the many reasons attracting more and more tourists to India every year.

Simply put, India is extraordinarily rich in wildlife including across the board numbers of species including the endangered ones. From the extremely discreet wanderer of the dry interior deserts of Rajasthan to the counterpart of the mighty Himalayas, from the a vast Kara te-kund (pledge) desert of the former Kingdom of Bhutan to the condor views ofutan and the elephant that has decimal numbers on its tail.

All these possess the capability to captivate the imagination of the average tourist. But the kings of flanked leopards don’t leave many abodes, it is said. Perhaps they are coy because they are more afraid of tigers than of anyone else. As a matter of fact, they prefer the trunk-protected parks of the north where they are safe from predators and prey alike.

So much so, that in the Indian Himalayan range, the prominent migration of animals is the one from the north bound by the Shiwalik Range that starts from the Terai and carries animals as far as Kashmir and then on to the Krishna and Gangotri regions of Nepal, Thailand and China.

But perhaps the main reason behind the attraction of the vast Himalayan wilderness is its engineering marvels such as the exquisitely carved canopies built out of green and moist climates much like the best Italian lakes. These features also hold the secrets of theajungle’s mysteries. Hidden though they may be, these engineering marvels do speak the truth about the steadiness of the soil in these mountain ranges as compared to the rest of the globe. With there being so many environmental engineering being done in the soil here, no wonder, no rain in sight, and very few trees, the engineers, after building so many lakes, must have had a pretty good idea about what they were doing!

The beauty of the Himalayas, as seen from the Russell Highway, is solely owned by Truckers Paradise and has been offered as a gift to Truckers Paradise from its parents. This tremendous engineering is enough to astonish even the most experienced cowboy.

All that can be said is that the Himalayas in India remain as mystery wrapped in mystery and as fabled land filled with unfathomable forests and unimaginable terrains.
